Relationships

Bram and Mary formed a temporary partnership with Mary while back in London. Paired together to stop a case of serial grave robbings, they discovered their abilities, gothic and macabre in nature, compliment each other’s well. Bram is wary of Mary’s ability as she possesses the power to completely control him. He feels indebted to her, however, for stopping him from slaughtering a child civilian who was accidentally caught in the crossfire during the Grave Robbery mission. Because of this, he often contemplates if it is in their best interests to partner together for her to be his emergency button, but also doesn’t wished to be viewed as incapable of working alone.

Recently, Bram attacked Mary due to a bloody laboratory accident. Mary was able to stop him through her ability. He later sent her an apology gift to make up for his mistake.

Since she is the reigning Knight Commander of the Order, Bram holds Agatha in very high respect and seldom if ever disobeys her orders. Unlike her other squires, they have a unique relationship, where there are no repercussions for Bram’s expressed insight into Agatha’s words and actions. They enjoy each other’s company, even if Bram on occasion tries to outwit his superior officer. He is often referred to as Agatha Christie’s “Guard Dog” by his fellow coworkers, as he does a lot of heavy hitting at her expense.

After ensuring that George Orwell, Aldous Huxley, and John Polidori (unbeknownst to her) all swore their silence in regards to Agatha’s usage of her ability on Amelia Alderson, Agatha promoted and dubbed Bram a Knight of the Order, now giving him a title and position of leadership.

Amelia does her best to needle “Bram Bram”, as she likes to call him, at every waking moment. Though sometimes she will get the best of him, he will eloquently dish it back at her when he can. Bram is very curious if Amelia can read his mind with her ability, since he is not a living creature. He finally received a confirmation from her.

Being the younger vampire of the two, Bram respects John very highly. Having been abandoned by his own sire, Bram often looks to John for advice in self-control and impulsivity. Still, he does not wish for John to view him as inferior and will never miss the opportunity to mention that he’s the more famous vampire out of the two of them. John is one of the few people that he trusts the most out of the Clock Tower.

Initially, Bram butted heads with the Clock Tower gunslinger, mostly due to his usage of firearms, but also because his rigidity to his self-made ideals. Over time, they grew to be more compatible, and will defend the other when necessary. Bram is featured in Dylan’s “Delfryd” as one of his closest friends.
